Work-for-hire animation and character art studio Rekindled has secured £225,000 in a funding round led by a group of angel investors.

The investors include Finstock Capital co-founders Oliver Jenkinson and Edo Salvesen, Lvl Up Partners co-founders Steve Tinkler and Felix Wong, and The Multiplayer Group co-founder Steve Bennett.

The UK-based studio intends to use the investment to expand its team and hire new leadership roles, further develop its work-for-hire services and enhance production capabilities, and invest in talent acquisition and technology.

“We are incredibly privileged to have the backing of investors who share our vision for Rekindled and confidence that we can execute,” said CEO and lead animator Rob Moody.

“This investment gives us the resources to build and grow effectively while maintaining our high quality standards for animation and character art that our clients expect.

“With their support we intend to continue to level up Rekindled, pushing our boundaries and work on more awesome projects.”

Rekindled Studios was founded in 2022 by Moody and CTO and lead technical animator Siobhan Maracle. CFO and lead character artist Yogi Patel later joined the team as a third partner.
