Fortnite’s all-new Star Wars season, Galactic Battle, will launch on 2nd May, 2025.

Announced at this week’s Star Wars Celebration in Japan, Chapter 6 Season 3 will feature weekly gameplay content, a Star Wars-flavoured battle pass, and culminate “in a live end of Season narrative event”.

Whilst Fortnite has teamed up with Star Wars before, this marks only the third time in Fortnite’s storied history that it has dedicated an entire season to a specific IP, and both prior instances were focused on Marvel.

Right now, the details are pretty sparse – for instance, we don’t yet know what characters will, or will not, be added to the battle pass, but there’s a number of familiar faces in the teaser above – and it’s thought this season will run a little shorter than usual, possibly clocking in at around 30 days. We’ll confirm when we know for sure, of course.

Yesterday, EA finally gave us our first look at its “gritty and authentic” upcoming Star Wars strategy game, Star Wars: Zero Company, and we also found out more about the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws’ DLC, A Pirate’s Fortune, which is set to release on 15th May, 2025.
