Undisputed developer Steel City Interactive opens second studio in Leamington Spa, UK

Steel City Interactive has opened a second studio in Leamington Spa, UK.

The Leamington Spa studio will work closely with the existing team in Sheffield, UK. While the press release did not share whether the new studio will work on existing or unannounced IP, Steel City is the indie developer behind boxing game, Undisputed, which released in October 2024.

Alongside news of the new premises comes five new appointments to Steel City’s leadership team: Alison Beasley (head of marketing and communications), Sylvain Cornillon (head of technology), Nathan Fisher (head of art), Todd Matherne, (head of QA), and Anna Lapworth (head of people and culture).

They join current leadership execs Tim Coupe (VP of studio), Clive Moody (VP of product development), Jason Darby (head of design) and Lydia Hawkins (finance director).

“As we build on the success of Undisputed and look to the future of the franchise, we wanted a second location that would attract senior talent and strengthen our studio network alongside our HQ in Sheffield – Leamington Spa fits these criteria,” Coupe said.

Steel City Interactive announced a partnership with recruitment agency Amiqus back in May as it looked to scale its technical and creative teams. The Sheffield studio began a recruitment drive to support the future of its Undisputed franchise, which fully launched last October and has since surpassed one million copies.
