Apple has unveiled its new gaming app – Apple Games – which is set to launch this fall across its devices.

Announced during its 2025 Worldwide Developers Conference yesterday, the app will combine its Game Center app with the App Store’s gaming section. It will also include a direct link to Apple Arcade, the firm’s gaming subscription service.

Apple describes the new app as “an all-in-one gaming destination for players to explore what’s happening across their games, discover new ones, and play with friends.”

The app will include Game Center features such as achievements, challenges, leaderboards, and other multiplayer activities.

The Apple Games app will be pre-installed on devices on iOS 26, iPadOS 26, and MacOS 26 or later. It is currently available in beta, and will be made available to all customers later this year.

Last month, Bloomberg reported that Apple was “planning a dedicated app for video games on its devices”.

It was said to be a “launcher for titles” and designed to “centralise in-game achievements, leaderboards, and other activity.”
