Code Vein 2 has just been revealed at Summer Game Fest. A sequel to the vampire gothic souls like that gained a respectable following, it’ll be coming in 2026 to PS5, Xbox, and Steam.

The trailer shown gives us a glimpse of both cinematics establishing the setting and all the weird stuff going on, as well as some early gameplay. That gameplay offers a selection of boss enemies which the protagonist is taking on with a variety of elemental, physical, and vampiric attacks.

Code Vein, like Mortal Shell which itself just got a sequel announced at Summer Game Fest, came out during a time when developers were taking a crack at the ever popular souls like genre, albeit with quirks and twists to mix things up. Code Vein, with its gothic vampire aesthetic and alternative approach to third person action, managed to win a sizable community to its side.
