Forza Motorsport developer Turn 10 has reportedly been “shuttered,” and “the team is no more.”

Microsoft began making layoffs across its gaming division last week, just days after multiple rumours and reports started to swirl. While, at the time, it was thought almost 50% of Turn 10 staff were laid off, new reports now suggest the sim racer could be wound down completely.

Former Forza Motorsport content coordinator Fred Russell wrote on Facebook that “Turn 10 Studios has shuttered the Forza Motorsport space and the team is no more.”

“A very sad day for one of the best car racing video games. I loved my time there.”

As spotted by IGN, another former Turn 10 Studios employee, Chris Harding, suggested that “120 people” were “gone from [Forza Motorsport] side.” It’s thought that what staff remain will work on the second Forza franchise, Forza Horizon, which is developed by Playground Games.
