Gaming services provider Side has opened up a new studio in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Located in Butantã, Side – formerly known as Pole to Win (PTW) – hopes the “state-of-the-art space” will allow the company to “more than double its operational workforce in South America over the next 12 months, providing more viable pathways for Brazilians looking to start or grow their careers in the technology or video game industries.”

Side said its Sao Paulo studio has “generated impressive demand from high-profile clients, requiring new premises to sustain its meteoric rise and creating excellent career growth opportunities along the way.” It’s hoped at least 100 jobs will be generated in the area across its QA, art, and co-development services.

“When we arrived in Sao Paulo [in 2024], it was always our plan to enter the market and grow aggressively – that’s just in our company DNA,” said CEO Deborah Kirkham.

“With 50% year-over-year growth, it’s safe to say we achieved that and then some. Side is now one of the largest full-service gaming services companies on the continent, and we have no plans of slowing down anytime soon.”

“The only way a studio achieves the kind of success we’ve had in the short time we’ve been in Sao Paulo happens when you recruit hyper-motivated and qualified talent,” added Sébastien Bisch, Side’s VP of regional operations for the Americas.

“In fact, we’ve already finalized plans to lease another floor in our new building – doubling us again in size – because of how much potential we see. The clients are here, the talent is here, and the growth for Side is definitely here.”

Founded in 2009, Side has 20 studios in 14 countries across North America, Europe, South America, and Asia offering support with art production, game development, audio production, QA, localization, localization QA, player support, community management, and datasets.
