MiHoYo has announced it will be sunsetting Genshin Impact on PlayStation 4.

In a notice published on its gaming community forum, it said the decision was “due to limitations related to hardware performance and platform application size”.

Genshin Impact will be sunset in three phases. It will first be delisted from the PlayStation Store on September 10, 2025.

MiHoYo noted that PlayStation Network accounts “that have previously downloaded Genshin Impact can still re-download it at any time, even if the game is delisted from the device”.

In-game purchases will end on February 2, 2026. Until this date, “top-ups and purchases will still be available through both the PlayStation Store and the in-game shop”.

Support for Genshin Impact will end on April 8, 2026. Players “can continue to log in to the game and receive update patches on PS4 until the support ends”.

Once this happens, players will no longer be able to log into Genshin Impact on the platform, and installations of the game will stop receiving update patches.

The developer also noted that before the game’s “update discontinuation on PS4, any items purchased from the PS Store but not yet claimed in-game can still be obtained by logging into Genshin Impact on PS4”.
