The second trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 reached a milestone of over 475 million views in its first day, according to publisher Rockstar Games, surpassing recent blockbuster film trailers like Deadpool & Wolverine and Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Rockstar shared this information with The Hollywood Reporter, claiming it’s the biggest video launch of all time. By comparison, the first GTA 6 trailer in 2023 racked up 93 million views in the same window – reaching a new YouTube viewing record for a video game trailer shortly thereafter.

Deadpool & Wolverine and Fantastic Four apparently amassed 365 million views and 200 million views respectively for their trailers.

In addition, Spotify said that streams of The Pointer Sisters’ ‘Hot Together’ – the song featured in the trailer – have spiked by 182,000%.

Grand Theft Auto 6 releases on May 26, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S, following a recent delay from its originally intended 2025 release timeframe.
