The rumoured remake of Persona 4 is reportedly set to be shown at this Sunday’s Xbox Games Showcase.

Last week, two voice actors stated they wouldn’t be returning for the Persona 4 remake, despite the fact neither Atlus or Sega have confirmed its existence.

It seems, though, the remake will be revealed sooner rather than later. According to MP1st, the Persona 4 remake will be shown at Xbox’s showcase, and is set for release across Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.

No release date is known yet, and it’s unclear if a Switch 2 version will be released simultaneously.

While gameplay details are yet to be revealed ahead of Sunday, it’s a fair stretch to assume this remake will follow the model of last year’s Persona 3 Reload.

That game was a remake of Persona 3, which tweaked gameplay to be more in-line with the more recent Persona 5. It was mostly praised, though wasn’t quite considered a definitive version on its release through lack of DLC and other additions.

What’s more, Persona 3 Reload was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023, so there’s precedence for this type of announcement.

News of a remake of Persona 4 is welcome and expected, though fans are still eager to hear about Persona 6. Little is known beyond a leak suggesting it’s coming to multiple platforms.

Fans at least have Persona 5: The Phantom X coming out later this month on PC and mobile (video above).

The Xbox Games Showcase airs this Sunday evening at 6pm UK time, as part of Summer Game Fest.
