Ubisoft has announced layoffs at Tom Clancy: Ghost Recon studio Red Storm, impacting 19 employees.

As reported by IGN, the cuts were made as part of Ubisoft’s ongoing “targeted restructuring and global cost-saving efforts”.

“While this was not an easy decision, it was a necessary one given our operational priorities,” the developer said. “We remain committed to supporting those affected with comprehensive severance packages, extended health-care benefits, and career transition assistance.

“We deeply appreciate their hard work and the impact they’ve had on Ubisoft.”

The firm clarified that “no other Ubisoft locations were impacted” by the redundancies at Red Storm.

Founded in 1996 by Tom Clancy and Doug Littlejohns, Red Storm was originally known as Red Storm Entertainment prior to being acquired by Ubisoft in 2000.

Back in August 2024, Red Storm was affected by redundancies alongside Ubisoft’s San Francisco studio.
